Hi everyone. It seems so long since I have added a new post. My computer has been in for repairs and just got back. It may be a while between this and the next one as well as I am having to send it back in again since they gave me the incorrect hard drive.

Anyway It has been an interesting month. This month has seen my parents safely off to their home in Arizona for a while. They arrived safely there last Thursday. As far as work goes I have been doing temp work as a project data clerk for an office that does destructive testing. They deal with ultrasound, radiography, magnetic, and all kinds of other awesome physics base testing which has been awesome to be involved in. It is project based work and I am having to wait until March for work to start up again and then I am guaranteed 4 months of work. In the meantime I have an extra part time job at a gunshop that will start as soon as my F.O.I.D card comes in. Also Lord willing I will be picking up some photography work as march and april come on.

All in all the Lord has been amazingly good (as usual) and provided much safety and wisdom in both looking for work and helping my parents pack things up. The Lord has also been teaching me much in regards to trusting in Him alone and keeping my focus on Him. I am praying and have been talking to my pastor's wife about starting a Bible study in the area and am thinking about trying to start one at one or two of the local colleges. Please pray for the Lord to provide wisdom for this endeavor.

We had the SMS mens quartet up at my church for a music conference this weekencd as well. It was definately an amazing time of hearing godly men praise the Lord through their singing and hearing Tim Fisher (author of the Battle for Christian Music) teaching us biblical principles for guiding the choice of music in our worship and in our lives. If anyone is interested in hearing any of the messages this is a link to where you can download them free. (www.hbcfrankfort.org) I just looked and don't see them up yet but my music pastor did say they would be so hopefully they will be up by the end of the week. My pastor also preached an interesting and excellent message on the Famine of even basic Bible knowledge/understanding in the world/America today. That I know is up if anyone is interested.

The Lord has definately been teaching me much this month about the need to trust in Him alone and not the things or circumstances around me. It is so easy to do as Peter did and be distracted by the things around whether they are good or bad despite the knowledge that we are to be focused on Him. I did a photo shoot with my Father this month which really reminded me of the references of God being a tower and a refuge and kind of put me on a word study journey. Here is just a small bit of that.

Proverbs 18:10

The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it and is safe.

Psalm 11:1

In the LORD I take refuge;
How can you say to my soul, "Flee as a bird to your mountain;

"Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone,
a cornerstone chosen and precious,
and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame."

My lovingkindness and my fortress,
My stronghold and my deliverer,
My shield and He in whom I take refuge,
Who subdues my people under me.

Psalm 14:6

You would put to shame the counsel of the afflicted,
But the LORD is his refuge.

Psalm 17:7

Wondrously show Your lovingkindness,
O Savior of those who take refuge at Your right hand
From those who rise up against them.

Psalm 18:2

The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Psalm 18:30

As for God, His way is blameless;
The word of the LORD is tried;
He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him.

Psalm 25:20

Guard my soul and deliver me;
Do not let me be ashamed, for I take refuge in You.

Every word of God is tested;

O taste and see that the LORD is good;
How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!

In You, O LORD, I have taken refuge;
Let me never be ashamed;
In Your righteousness deliver me.

How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!
And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.

Psalm 34:22

The LORD redeems the soul of His servants,
And none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned.

Psalm 2:11 - 12

Worship the LORD with reverence
And rejoice with trembling.
Do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and you perish in the way,
For His wrath may soon be kindled.
How blessed are all who take refuge in Him!

Psalm 57:1

Be gracious to me, O God, be gracious to me,
For my soul takes refuge in You;
And in the shadow of Your wings I will take refuge
Until destruction passes by.

Psalm 59:16

But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength;
Yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning,
For You have been my stronghold
And a refuge in the day of my distress.

Psalm 61:1-4

Hear my cry, O God;
Give heed to my prayer.
From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint;
Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
For You have been a refuge for me,
A tower of strength against the enemy.
Let me dwell in Your tent forever;
Let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings.

Psalm 62:7 - 8

On God my salvation and my glory rest;
The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.

Trust in Him at all times, O people;
Pour out your heart before Him;
God is a refuge for us.

Psalm 64:10

The righteous man will be glad in the LORD and will take refuge in Him;
And all the upright in heart will glory.

For You are my strong refuge.
My mouth is filled with Your praise
And with Your glory all day long.

I have made the Lord GOD my refuge,
That I may tell of all Your works.

I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!"

Proverbs 14:26

In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence,
And his children will have refuge.

Psalm 91:9

For you have made the LORD, my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place.

Psalm 142:5

I cried out to You, O LORD;
I said, "You are my refuge,
My portion in the land of the living.

You all are in my prayers continually.

I realize this is long over due however the Play and my photography work kept me quite busy for the last month and a half.

Here is a small glimps at my serene, somber, and overly serious family. :)

Mom and Dad

Mike (My "little" brother) & Joe (The best older brother ever)

Joe & and his wife Amy

Pluth Family tradition of Czechoslovakian Petitza Bread

(a wonderful traditional nut roll)

2 things to note: it is incredibly sweet and as noted above Joe is overly protective of it :D

We are truly greatful for the Lord's blessings to our family. The Lord has blessed each of us and given us work, health, and family. The Lord has truly blessed our family and allowed us all to be together for the first time in about 3 years for which we are truly grateful.

Psalm 95:1-3

"O Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods."

It was also a blessing to see a dear friend Ken Southwell who lives at my brother Joe's house.

Ken & I went for a walk one night and took some pictures of the holiday lights on the houses.
(some more of these are also up on my blog if anyone wants to check it out.)

It has also been truly amazing to look back over the year and see how the Lord has continually provided everything I needed from work, to family, to a place to live, and most importantly teaching me to spend more time with Him.

It is also humbling to me to realize how often I walk through my day with complaints and without realizing all of the good things that the Lord has given me. How easy it is to ignore the God of all power and provision and forget that He hold the very universe in the palm of His hand. Praise the Lord for His graciousness.

May the New Year find each of us continuing to seek after the Lord and seeking to accomplish His will and not our own.

Jeremiah 10:11-13

"Thus you shall say to them, "The gods that did not make the heavens adn the earth will perish from the earth and from under the heavens.

It is He who made the earth by His power,

Who established the world by His wisdom;

And by His understanding He has stretched out the heavens.

When He utters His voice, there is a tmult of waters in the heavens,

And He causes teh clouds to ascend from the end of the earth;

He makes lightning for the rain,

And brings out the wind from His storehouses."

Jeremiah 33:1-3

"Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah . . . Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it, the LORD is His name, ' Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.'"

Hey guys sorry its been a bit. If I have to guess I'll say i'll be updating this roughly every 2 weeks. I am still working at the photography studio and also looking for additional work. The Lord has given me witnessing opportunities with several of my coworkers at the studio.

I was able to help with a youth activity of soccer (yay!) and outdoor glow-in-the-dark capture the flag last week. It was absolutely fun and it was great to see an attendance of nearly 40 youth which is the largest group I believe I have seen at our church since my church moved about 15 years ago and it also included a number of visiting youth as well.

In a great reminder of the absolutely stunning wonder of God's creation . . .

Genesis 1

20And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life,. . . 21And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, . . . and God saw that it was good. 22And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, . . . 23And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

(Such a short description, how quickly we read through it and yet what amazing things were created in that short passage of time.)

I was able to go to the Shed Aquarium for free and use it as a photo opp to grab more stills. Here are a few.
The Shed Aquarium and of course a portion of the Chi Town Skyline

A gorgeous Cownose Eagle Ray (Myliobatiformes Rhinoptera bonasus) Missing his Tail

A Fabulous Green Moray Eel (Gymnothorax funebris)

A large Southern Rock Lobster (Decapoda Palinuridae asus edwardsii)

And of course who could resist a "nemo fish" :)
by any other name a clown fish (Amphiprion ocellaris)

I'll have more up on my photography blog in a couple of days:

Hebrews 11:8-30

8By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 9By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 10For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. . . . 13These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 15And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 16But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. . . .24By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; 25Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; 26Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward. 27By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. . . . .30By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.

Praying for you all

Okay, Okay,

So I somewhat realized that I may have perhaps let this go Just a wee bit in the last few years or so.

Maybe now is the time to return to reporting on life at large. :)

So right now I have part time work at a photography studio and work with the Overshadowed Theatre Productions here in ChiTown.

Lord willing I shall be posting things up here to make communication a bit easier for those who care.

I have been praying for opportunities to help out at my church and so far the Lord has allowed me to become involved in choir and orchestra as well as helping with a grades 4 -6 Sunday School class as well.

2 Timothy 4

“Preach the Word”
1 I solemnly charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by Hisappearing and His kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. 5But you, be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

What You see here is a park by my house that is flooded due to an entire weekend of Rain.
This is the parks name.
This is the reservoir/lake by my house that collects the excess water when it rains.
Normally those shrublike things off to the right are full grown trees.

This is another shot of the park. People in the past have actually taken boats out on this when it has been flooded less.
