I realize this is long over due however the Play and my photography work kept me quite busy for the last month and a half.

Here is a small glimps at my serene, somber, and overly serious family. :)

2 things to note: it is incredibly sweet and as noted above Joe is overly protective of it :D

We are truly greatful for the Lord's blessings to our family. The Lord has blessed each of us and given us work, health, and family. The Lord has truly blessed our family and allowed us all to be together for the first time in about 3 years for which we are truly grateful.

Psalm 95:1-3

"O Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods."

It was also a blessing to see a dear friend Ken Southwell who lives at my brother Joe's house.

Ken & I went for a walk one night and took some pictures of the holiday lights on the houses.

It has also been truly amazing to look back over the year and see how the Lord has continually provided everything I needed from work, to family, to a place to live, and most importantly teaching me to spend more time with Him.

It is also humbling to me to realize how often I walk through my day with complaints and without realizing all of the good things that the Lord has given me. How easy it is to ignore the God of all power and provision and forget that He hold the very universe in the palm of His hand. Praise the Lord for His graciousness.

May the New Year find each of us continuing to seek after the Lord and seeking to accomplish His will and not our own.

Hey guys sorry its been a bit. If I have to guess I'll say i'll be updating this roughly every 2 weeks. I am still working at the photography studio and also looking for additional work. The Lord has given me witnessing opportunities with several of my coworkers at the studio.

I was able to help with a youth activity of soccer (yay!) and outdoor glow-in-the-dark capture the flag last week. It was absolutely fun and it was great to see an attendance of nearly 40 youth which is the largest group I believe I have seen at our church since my church moved about 15 years ago and it also included a number of visiting youth as well.

In a great reminder of the absolutely stunning wonder of God's creation . . .

(Such a short description, how quickly we read through it and yet what amazing things were created in that short passage of time.)

I was able to go to the Shed Aquarium for free and use it as a photo opp to grab more stills. Here are a few.

Okay, Okay,

So I somewhat realized that I may have perhaps let this go Just a wee bit in the last few years or so.

Maybe now is the time to return to reporting on life at large. :)

So right now I have part time work at a photography studio and work with the Overshadowed Theatre Productions here in ChiTown.

Lord willing I shall be posting things up here to make communication a bit easier for those who care.

I have been praying for opportunities to help out at my church and so far the Lord has allowed me to become involved in choir and orchestra as well as helping with a grades 4 -6 Sunday School class as well.

What You see here is a park by my house that is flooded due to an entire weekend of Rain.
This is the parks name.
This is the reservoir/lake by my house that collects the excess water when it rains.
Normally those shrublike things off to the right are full grown trees.

This is another shot of the park. People in the past have actually taken boats out on this when it has been flooded less.

The Lord has brought me back to Northland for many reasons. I am seeking utmost to honor and glorify my Lord. I am thankful for all that He is teaching me while I am here. I pray that He will help me to see the many things that He has for me to do and see. Above all I am here to seek out my Lord; I want to know my Lord.

lately I have been working at OfficeMax and not much else, however, the Lord has been giving me many opportunities to witness while at work. I would ask people to pray as I have several people who have stated that they are interested in coming to church. Please pray that they would continue to be open to the gospel and that I would continue to be the witness that I ought to be and take the opportunities which the Lord provides me with to witness to my workmates.

I have just finished a week of

winterlude at Northland. It has been

a week of much work and much

blessing all rolled into one. This week

the Lord gave me a roommate who

was such an incredible blessing. We

spent many hours talking and

enjoying music. We spent at least an hour every

evening playing and singing. I am looking

forward to the possibility of attending NBBC again

next fall as a G.A. I am praying that the Lord

would continue to give me patience as I wait on

Sorry for being so delinquent in writting. I have been very very busy during the month of November. I am currently two weeks from getting my EMT-B liscence (provided I don't fail the finals). I am still praying that the Lord would supply me with the money that I will need to attend school in the fall. I am also praying that I might possibly be able to find a second job to supplement my current job and which would help with the money issue. I am so glad that He is in control.

Josh, Bekah, and everyone else,
Sorry, I know I have been delinquent in my blogging. In my defense however, Our internet is not working and my schedule is so full that I could not go to the library during its open time either.
Anyway,
I finally finished all of my work on my photography degree; I mailed in the final project on that about two weeks ago. I am just waiting to hear back from them. My EMT course is going well, and I should be starting my clinicals for that in a week or two.
The Lord has been so good to me over the last couple of weeks. Two of the people at my job have been out with pneumonia and others have been randomly sick as well. So there has been a lot of extra work to do as well as a few extra shifts thrown in here and there. But the Lord is gracious and has allowed me more than enough time to accomplish all that I needed to these past two weeks.
I also had my first recital last night. The college through which I am taking voice lessons has a recital like every month and last night was the first one. It went well I guess so that was good.

Well folks,
as of right now I am staying at home and working for a year. I am also starting an emt class this week. I am hoping to go back up to NBBC the following year and to be able to simply go to school and finish both a Voice Pedagogy degree and the Cross Cultural Commuications Masters degree that I was working on in one year. This is definately tentative and Lord Willing. Right now I am working on being where the Lord has put me. From talking to my music director and his wife it seems that the Lord has put me at home when the church could really use me to help out in a number of areas. He has allowed me many good oportunities to witness to my coworkers at my job and he has given me a ministry with some of the girls at my church. I have also realized that though what has happened is not what I would have planned the Lord will be allowing me to accomplish in two years what I had expected to take three. I praise Him for his grace in knowing far better than I ever could and for accomplishing His will more efficiently than I ever could. His Grace is sufficient. I Thessalonians 2:4

Well I heard back from Bob Jones University the other day. They basically said that I was not good enough to make their program. The Lord totally knows, and I am so glad however that still leaves me in a bit of a dilema about where to head at this particular moment in time. I am praying and looking into schooling in my home area of Chi-town. Our church is also holding its annual band camp this week so it should be an interesting and fun filled week.

I have turned in my audition tape and vocal repertoir to Bob Jones University as of a week ago. I am waiting for my transcripts to be sent from NBBC to BJU, which I have been told cannot be done until August 2 =(. Not much else is new right now except that I am going up to Northland this weekend to get my things.

Well I was severely reprimanded by Josh and Bekah for my lack of posting. I am currently in the process of auditioning for a master's degree in music at Bob Jones University. I will be making an audition tape in the next two to three weeks to send to them and then seeing where the Lord will lead with that possibility. The other current possability for the fall is at a school in Lima, Peru. I have responded to a general email looking for people and am waiting to hear back from them as well. For now I am singing in choir at my home church as well as helping with a kids program on Wednessday evenings (I'm kind of excited I get to lead the music portion of it next week), and I will be starting to lead a kids choir on sunday evenings before church as well. I may not know where the Lord will be putting me for this comming fall but He is certainly providing me with opportunities to serve Him in the here and now. I am praying that He will continue to keep making me more and more dependant on Him in every area of my life.

Well HI,
I am not very good at posting more than once every few weeks in case you hadn't already figured that out. Sorry!
Right now it seems highly unlikely that I will be returning to Northland in the fall, so I don't know where I shall be this comming fall. Right now however, the Lord has supplied me with a good job, and an opportunity for a second job. The Lord has also given me much opportunity to be invovled at my home church, which is a great blessing. I'm afraid that's about as exciting as my life is right now =)
